The regeneration of neglected and derelict urban housing was transformed into a community green, safe space and place for contemplation by a proactive group of local residents. 

The group, Walkley Millennium Greens, commissioned two feature artworks to reflect the community and the local natural fauna and flora. Creative workshops where participants shared memories, creative ideas and plans for the site helped to inform the overall design to ensure that each person had a stake and ownership of what was being presented to them in their neighbourhood.
